
HIGH VOLTAGE MANAGER

Your Tasks
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead & build the greentech high voltage team. Provide sufficient training to potential AP’s and CP’s to ensure and enforce safe working practices using the greentech HV safety rules.
- Act as Assessor for the operational appointment of Authorised Persons (AP) at greentech to ensure safe and compliant operations.
- To act as control person for the technical review of all HV switching carried out by greentech AP’s across the portfolio.
- Act as a focal point ensuring that all safety notices relating to infrastructure, systems and services are produced, communicated and actioned accordingly. Also, you’ll provide competent, independent and impartial professional advice to management at greentech in relation to the regulatory compliance of facilities and systems.
- Support the H&S team in matters of electrical safety.
- Authorising and administration of electrical safety rules. Maintenance of rules in line with legislative, regulatory or industry changes.
- Providing professional and technical guidance on electrical construction & electrical contracting delivery. Ensuring that any amendments to the HV Electrical Safety Rules are brought to the attention of, and are understood by, all greentech Authorised Persons and Competent Persons (CP).
- Source HV electrical training to ensure Greentech HV authorised personnel are competent to undertake HV tasks within there authorisations.
- Undertakes AP and CP audits and annual appraisals.
- Manage and keep updated greentech portfolio Electrical Schematic drawing.
- Manage HV and LV shutdowns in coordination with Greentech Management and Clientele.
What we are looking for:
- HV Senior Authorised Person 33KV or above
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- BS:7671:2018 (18th Edition) - City and Guilds.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (desirable)
- IOSH/NEBOS
- Experienced in verifying safe systems of work.
- Recent experience of working as an Authorising Engineer or an Electrical Site Supervisor.
- A full Valid UK driving License (essential)
- First Aid Trained (desirable)
