OPERATIONS MANAGER - SOLAR PV
As we grow our O&M business across the Irish solar market, we're looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. This is a genuine opportunity to help shape a new market from the ground up — building processes, client relationships, and a high-performing field service team — backed by an established European PV industry leader. If you're looking for a role where your contribution is visible and your impact is real, this could be the one for you.
Your tasks:
- Diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis, and resolve technical issues on utility-scale PV plants.
- Perform on-site repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and corrective service tasks.
- Manage maintenance contract requirements and act as the primary technical point of contact for all operational sites.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and landowners, providing regular performance updates and addressing concerns proactively.
- Ensure all reports are completed to a high standard and delivered in line with contractual obligations.
- Take ownership of the ticketing system — prioritising work, maintaining client visibility, and ensuring contractual compliance.
- Optimise portfolio availability and ensure sites are operating safely and efficiently at all times.
- Lead the onboarding of new sites, integrating agreed scopes of work into processes, systems, and team structures.
- Supervise and develop the field service team, contributing to a strong in-house O&M function.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, clients, and our technical asset management team in Hamburg.
- Ensure full compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and Irish health & safety requirements.
- Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours cover as part of a fair, shared team arrangement.
Your profile:
- Qualified electrician or degree-qualified electrical engineer with hands-on maintenance and fault-finding experience, ideally at utility-scale PV level.
- Proven experience in solar O&M and asset management with a strong client-facing track record.
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with contract management and Irish regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Sound knowledge of Irish health & safety standards and legislation.
- Safe Pass and EWRB registration (or equivalent) expected; AP/SAP status desirable — support avail-able where needed.
- Financial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Driver’s license required
We offer:
- Be part of a values-driven company committed to sustainability, excellence, and teamwork.
- Join a growing Irish team with the backing and expertise of a pan-European renewable energy leader.
- Competitive salary and benefits package with company pension, private healthcare, company vehicle and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Opportunities for ongoing training, professional development, and career progression.
- Play a meaningful role in Ireland's transition to renewable energy.
